WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST
AIRBRUSH TANNING APPOINTMENT
After arriving at one of our studios, our staff may ask you few questions while you fill out some salon forms. It's important to arrive at least 5 or 10 minutes prior to your session. After this, we will show you back to our changing room, where you will be provided with a robe and undergarments for your airbrush tan if you choose. If you have your own, feel free to bring those as well. It also may be a good idea to wear flip flops and bring a change of loose dark clothing. Just Bronzed is dedicated to making your airbrush experience as easy as possible and can provide anything additional you may need, such as; makeup remover wipes, disposable undergarments, sticky feet and barrier cream. You may also like to utilize the nose plugs and lip balm - however, JB has an open room environment so you will never feel claustrophobic.

Talk to your technician: Let him or her know how dark you’d like to go. If this is your first-time spray tanning, go on the lighter side. The technician can always layer on color.We are experts on getting you into the perfect shade!
During your tanning session:
Right before your custom airbrush our technician will assess your skin and personally apply barrier cream to hand, feet and any other dry areas. You will be in your robe during this process to ensure you are the most comfortable.
During your spray tan, your technician will put you through a series of poses to insure you have a natural, even tan. The entire process takes approximately 15 minutes and after your session, you can return to business as usual.

BEFORE

Exfoliating your skin before your sunless session is imperative for smooth skin and gaining even tanning results. Spend extra care around your elbows, ankles, feet and knees.

We recommend shaving with soap and water only, shaving creams can leave a residue that may act as a barrier between your skin and the solution.

Any waxing should be done 24-48 hours prior to your sunless tan.

If your skin is dry apply a light water based lotion 2 hours before arrival.

Do not use any oil before or after your sunless tan.

Remove makeup before your sunless tan for best application of the sunless solution.

It is best to wear loose dark clothing after your sunless tan.

Do not wear wool or any silk like fabrics at least 8 hours after your sunless tan. All sunless tanning solutions react differently with these particular fabrics and could possibly cause staining until they are more fully cured on your body.

Wait at least 15 hours after your sunless tan to shower. This will allow time for your tan to develop.

Don't worry if when you shower you see a little of the solution wash off. What you see washing off is the immediate cosmetic bronzer and what is left behind is a beautiful sunless tan.

Do not apply moisturizer or lotions until after your FIRST shower for this could affect the immediate reaction of the sunless solution and cause streaking or blotchiness to your tan.

Do not exercise before your first shower. The salts and acids in human sweat can affect the quality and longevity of the tan until it is more fully cured.

Make sure you moisturize daily. The dryer your skin is, the sooner your tan could wear down. Make sure you use only water based lotions like Hempz with no mineral oils as this can cause streaking and blotchiness as well.

Exfoliate gently and only after 48 hours of your first shower

If sunbathing remember to use sunscreen. Sunless tanning solutions do not have any SPF. You will still need to use sunscreen to prevent burning.
